West Chicago Community High School's orchestras performed at their annual holiday concert in mid-December.

ORCHESTRA HOLIDAY CONCERT

On Wednesday, Dec. 14, the winter festivities continued with the West Chicago Orchestra Concert, held at 7 p.m. in Weyrauch Auditorium amid poinsettias and wreaths.The West Chicago Community High School Orchestra was led by interim conductor Sara Austin.The full concert lasted an hour and a half, and featured students from the string, concert, symphony, and honors orchestras.Songs from the program included
"Away in Manger", "Winter Morn", "Sleigh Ride" (audio featured at top of page), and "Wassail Song".
"I like being able to play the holiday songs, it's fun. I think we all did a good job," said sophomore Hadassah Ramirez.The Leman Middle School choir also performed an independent song, "Rock You Merry Christmas", as well as a song featuring the high school students, "Arctic Fire".
